Little Batch Co. was born from a cozy kitchen in Alameda, California — a place where cinnamon rolls rise before the sun, cakes are dressed in flowers, and even the dog treats are made with flair.
Founded by Mariana, aka MeMeCherry, this micro bakery is a love letter to heritage, hustle, and the joy of making things by hand. What started as recipe testing for friends quickly turned into an edible art project with a heartbeat — blending Puerto Rican flavors, nostalgic twists, and a relentless obsession with making every bite count.
That obsession is what gave birth to Coach Bites — our line of high-protein, macro-friendly cookies that taste like a cheat day but hit like a meal prep win. Because MeMe refused to believe that eating well meant eating boring. Every Coach Bites cookie is made with real ingredients, real chocolate, and a real nutrition label you can actually feel good about.
And then there's the part nobody talks about: the paperwork. Getting legally legit as a home baker in California is a whole journey — permits, food safety certifications, labeling rules, and a lot of Googling at midnight. MeMe did all of it, made all the mistakes, and then turned the whole experience into From Oven to Boss — a guide for home bakers who are ready to stop giving their cookies away for free and start building something real.
